Thank you to everyone who responded to the appeal from the Social Services Department, Carers’ Support Service. Many patients arrive at St James Hospital in traumatic situations with few possessions. In a very short time we amassed a huge amount of things (underpants, toothpaste, flannels shower gel, soap, socks etc.) which Rodney delivered on Wednesday 15th December. The staff were thrilled with our efforts. Two new wards opened in October so this problem is perpetual. Please continue to place things in the dedicated box in the Centre foyer so we can continue to serve our local community in this way. At least one member of the Carers’ support service is willing to come speak to any size group. Please see Angela Barnes for contact details.
